High School

You are unique, your education should be too!

High school: making grades, connecting with a tribe, prepping for college and dreaming about the future. It’s an exciting time filled with hope and promise. Our expert teachers are committed to helping students meet their high school graduation requirements and take the next step.

Futures Academy's high school curriculum is taught using the latest technology, including iPads and/or Chromebooks loaded with eTextbooks and learning apps within a unique schedule that both students and parents love. Class schedules enable for focused 1:1 engagement with most students only attending school 3-4 days a week, leaving plenty of time for outside activities. Maintaining a healthy school, family, work and social life balance is essential to effective learning.

guided study

A Day in the Life

For each subject, students meet one-to-one with their teacher once a week or more per class. After each class, students work in our Guided Study to complete assignments and projects. There are two designated spaces on Futures campuses that students can call their own. “The Hangout” offers a relaxing atmosphere to socialize with friends, watch TV, play music and work on group projects. “The Guided Study” is a comfortable place to finish assignments, study for tests or get help from on-staff tutors. Here, schoolwork doesn't mean homework!

Jessica's story

Jessica's Story

Jessica is in the 11th grade. She’s a competitive ice skater with an Olympic dream. On Monday, she trains from 5:30AM – 7:30AM then heads to Futures Academy. She takes two subjects at 8:30AM & 10AM and stays on campus until 4PM to finish her schoolwork for the classes she had that day. She may have additional schoolwork to take home with her, as sometimes it’s easier for her to finish up at home. Tuesdays are full training days from 9:00 to 3:00 and she doesn't have any classes.

On Wednesday, she takes two subjects at 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM and stays on campus until 3:00 to finish her schoolwork, then trains at the rink from 4-6PM. Thursday is also a full practice day on the ice from Noon to 5PM with no classes. On Fridays, she takes one subject at 7:30AM and stays on campus until 11AM to finish her schoolwork then usually leaves by 11AM to travel to competitions and finishes any schoolwork on planes or in the car.

I really appreciate the teachers and how they treat you as an individual while helping prepare for college, or whatever you want to do in your life.
