We teach grit. Angela Duckworth, professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, defines grit as "passion and perseverance for very long term goals... Grit is like living life like it's a marathon and not a sprint."
We prepare Futures students to live the rest of their lives. A world-class accredited education is the base. Tools, resources and the skill to use them ensure preparation for college and career. As a result of our comprehensive program, many graduates go on to attend prestigious colleges and universities across the country and abroad like Stanford, Columbia, UCLA, Duke and the London School of Business, to name a few.
Futures Academy is very proud of our Woodland Hills student Ronak Ahuja for being the overall winner of the Loyola Invitational Debate hosted by Loyola High School in Los Angeles. Ronak was one of more than 80 students from 42 high schools throughout seven states who participated in this National Circuit debate.
Since this is a “non-traditional” school, I have a “non-traditional” schedule. The teachers work around me, and they always make sure to incorporate things I relate to in my studies. This is a big reason why I am where I am today. Without my parents and this Academy, my life would be completely different.
